Core concepts
Routes & vehicles
Vehicles, customer stores, route plans and the day cycle that ties them together.
Operations in iotoms are organized around the day cycle: a van is loaded, drives its route in visit order, sells store by store, and closes the day.
Vehicles
Register each van under Operations → Vehicles. A vehicle carries its own stock location — loading a van is a stock transfer into it, and every sale on the route draws that stock down.
Customer stores
The shops your routes visit live under Operations → Customer Stores, each with its location, credit terms and full purchase history. The rep sees that history at the doorstep.
Route plans
A route plan is an ordered list of customer stores assigned to a vehicle and a rep. Visit order matters: it drives the rep's day screen, keeps visit windows predictable for stores, and makes skipped stops visible instead of silent.
The day cycle
- Open the day. The rep opens the day in the field app; the route, catalog and prices sync onto the device.
- Drive and sell. Stops appear in visit order. Sales, returns, payments and expenses all commit on the device — signal or not.
- Close the day. Guided cash counting reconciles cash, card and credit against every transaction. The console's ledger agrees to the cent.
Watching it from the console
The dashboard shows route coverage (visited, pending, skipped) and operational status live as the day runs. Route sales reports break revenue down by stop, so each route reads like its own P&L.
